Proposed rule

Land shown as Agricultural on the city’s Future Land Use Map may have no more than one home for every 40 gross acres. If land is zoned Agricultural but the Future Land Use Map assigns it to a different category, the density for that Future Land Use category applies instead.

Why change it

This makes the zoning code follow the density already assigned to Agricultural land in the Comprehensive Plan and avoids applying the one-per-40 rule to land that is only temporarily or secondarily zoned Agricultural.

Implementation

Amend Section 41 and related general density provisions. Planning Commission public hearing → Council adoption.
